There was a Fairly quick kiss showing development between the two characters showing that the two may not really be fond of each other but is to scared to give off the first word of ending the bending a broken relationship.
Only in the 80s, could Tristar put out an overtly misogynistic and xenophobic film that supports colonialism and objectifies a minor without backlash. I’m embarrassed this is the movie I watched on David Lynch’s last day on earth. But I’m even more embarrassed that, despite all of the above, I still consider this a 3.5 star movie. Even stranger, a modern day Tristar may succeed with the The Kiss formula now that Ambassadors Stallone, Voight, and Gibson are cleaning up woke Hollywood
