Best film of 2022 so far. Exquisite.

“I don’t like life anymore. Reality is lousy. I want an imaginary life. That’s why I want to make films”  There’s enough coming-off age story that repeats the same cycle all over again. But the beauty of “The hand of god” lies not only in protagonist but what surrounds his life throughout. Usually in such films we see protagonist trying hard to do what he want to do, he’s always failing, some or the other not supporting him and those romantic cliches in between. “The hand of god” totally unlearn those cliches masterfully and tells the story as organically as possible, almost as if we are watching the documentary of his life with joy and sorrow.
