I think every Wes Anderson movie I've seen is 10/10, I just need to watch them enough times for them to get to that status
Both are utterly delightful and completely horrifying all at the same time. Nothing I have to say about this that hasn't been already said. It's hilarious, charming, absurd, original, and just an absolute blast. One of those movies where literally every shot could be framed in a musem. The production design and framing are oozing with beuty and style. Wes's personality and style is really found in every bit of it. The cast is filled with so many amazing stars, and while not all of them get too much screen time, the cast is still so much fun to watch. Also the scene where Dmitri breaks the painting is one of the hardest I laughed in forever.

I rewatched it again with my mum yesterday. She told me that it's very obvious why I liked it. She said it was a very beautiful and artistic film and as a literature student ofc I would love it. She is right honestly. Also she gave it 3 and a half stars so at least she liked it.
You gotta be okay with being reminded that you’re being told a story, that what you are seeing is fiction. Because this movie does it a lot. But still, it’s real. Stories aren’t less real than life.

Omg i think i found my comfort movie.
“The beginning of the end of the end of the beginning has begun. A sad finale played off-key on a broken-down saloon piano in the outskirts of a forgotten ghost town. I'd rather not bear witness to such blasphemy.” I had nearly forgotten how incredible, how beyond perfection, this movie truly is. This is without a doubt the climax and ultimate triumph of Wes Anderson’s career. The amount of love, joy, and bitter hopefulness that emanates from the film is as heady and intoxicating as L'air de Panache. I feel an utter fool for not loving this film enough, and I will take painstaking steps to ensure it never happens again. This truly could be the greatest film ever made. And we must take as much care in watching as was taken in making it.
