#MYSHIT in truest sense. This is something I can call as an acquired taste otherwise such films aren’t something that are universally loved and it’s visible from divisive response. Totally up my ally. Wow. Crazy, bizarre, insane, just choose any such words and it will be a perfect fit for this brilliantly made mindfuck of a film. Honestly telling I loved that it was more than 2 hours long. I read few reviews which said that horror films should not go above 90 or 120 minutes. But this felt like it was throwing in original mystery and bizarre stuffs consistently that I was massively hooked, making sense of what’s happening on the screen. There are some horrific set pieces that were super creative and stuck in my mind. My only negative is overall performances, not everybody were like good in it. Some seemed like they were straight out of a C-Grade movie.  Best part is the ambiguity of it all and how it beautifully allows you to think, think and think until it makes your head spin in the brilliantly bizarre climax.  I have used “Bizarre” word few times already and that in itself says what kind of a film this was and how such films truly defines US, so called “Movie buffs”, as in making viewers discussing a lot about it irrespective of whether they loved it or not after they finish watching it. Such films makes the movie dissection even more interesting and it encourages multiple viewings. As I would love to call them “Deliciously ambiguous”. Birth of a new genius director in the name of David Prior.
