Horror genre I just love you. And then thank you Jayro Bustamante (Director) for using Horror genre in this manner where it easily merges with the story of the general (Dictator) who is actually a genocidial murderer who killed many native Americans who are still waiting to get justice after 30 years. Politics + Horror is always effective when it’s done well (Chilling Persian language film “Under the shadow” comes to my mind immediately). Whole film is a slow burn expedition of general and his family who are haunted by general’s unlawful act in the past. It’s no usual cheap thrills. Haunting comes in different ways whether psychologically or supernaturally, it depends on how you take it. I feel this is amalgamation of both psychological and supernatural. This is the reason why it’s effective horror film that literally and slowly went to some darkest place in the finale that was…
