Born under unusual circumstances, Benjamin Button springs into being as an elderly man in a New Orleans nursing home and ages in reverse. Twelve years after his birth, he meets Daisy, a child who flits in and out of his life as she grows up to be a dancer. Though he has all sorts of unusual adventures over the course of his life, it is his relationship with Daisy, and the hope that they will come together at the right time, that drives Benjamin forward.

I think that truly, after my third watchtrough, I do really get this movie. First two times, I didn't really get it. The movie, that is. How nuch those that we hold dear mean to us. How those who feel lost at sea, have a home. Whether it's a nursery, a old folks home, a duplex, a mattress, a piano, a trolley, a basement, a dresser drawer, a hotel room, a hospital, a boat by the seaside, all homes. It isn't about the miracle of a baby born old who grew young, it's about the people who we love. Those we hold close, or those we write letters to, from far away.
