Curry Barker should develop this into a full-length feature film. Mind-fuck of a horror short with an almost perfect level of ambiguity that is still making me scratch my head. I got chills in unexpected places and Curry truly knows how to unsettle his audience without cheap jump scares. Is this short a metaphorical take on illness or is it about a cursed chair? Does it land well? Not entirely but I really enjoyed this & it provided a great 24 minutes of a chaotic mental trip for a horror fan like me. Going to dig even more of his short films on his YouTube channel. This director is a gem.
