This was hilarious and also sad, but I feel like I need to rewatch to really get that ending

There couldn’t have been a better metaphor for civil war than this. Martin McDonagh is genius. There’s a lot of things here that are similar to his previous masterpiece “3 billboards”. Like hilarious dark humour carrying this tragedy driven drama that doesn’t seem like a tragedy initially but it is ticking like a time bomb inside the people of Inisherin, not able to move on from the grudges, greediness and self-destruction. Banshee definition is - “It is a female spirit in Irish folklore who heralds the death of a family member, usually by screaming, wailing, shrieking, or keening”  In the movie Martin doesn’t show any Banshee, but there surely a character that seem like one, who is always waiting for something bad to happen. This part is also very funny at times. Yet again Martin has mixed dark humour into a tragic drama and has succeeded. Subtlety is again Martin’s greatest feature. Colin Farrel and Brendon Gleeson were fantastic rowing partners. Had a great fecking time
