Honey, I Shrunk the Watchlist 17 of 35 - Watch a movie that stars one of your favorite actors 👁️👁️ The only thing I knew about this prior to watching it was its reputation. I feel like I’ve never seen everyone get a movie so wrong. Except for, you know, MI2 or Sky Captain or Wuthering Heights (2025) or Knight and Day or This movie captures the feeling of 60s spy films so well in a way I’ve never seen before. Not that I’ve seen many films truly attempt to capture that specific feeling. But the only difference between this and a Connery Bond film is a lack of exotic locations. It’s exceedingly charming and silly in a way that is obviously intentional.  Is it perfect? No, but only because it’s limited by the same flaws that limited the films it’s emulating. And in that sense, it is perfect. What a pickle. I earnestly want to give this five stars, but I feel if I do that, people will dismiss the rating as ironic. And to be honest, I don’t think it’s all the way there, and maybe it’s all a shade too corny. But overall, it’s enjoyable enough that I could definitely see myself watching it again. Ralph Fiennes, as always, is a delight and exceedingly charming. Perfectly suited for his role.  Another misunderstood classic.
