Okay, so this movie is good and I will defend it with every last bone in my body, but the villains are laughably horrendous and the story is even more messy with the whole Richard Parker crap. And even with the dumbass Jamie Foxx teeth gap fix and the awful, lame Green Goblin, I love Peter and Gwen's relationship story in this. Peter and Gwen are kids in love, but more importantly, stupid kids in love. They don't heed the advice of Captain Stacy at the end of Amazing Spider-Man and try to make their relationship work, to Gwen's ultimate demise. Knowing the ending throughout all of this movie, made every romance scene so much more interesting, because I realized that they're being idiots by still trying to make it work. I know that all of this is intentional because of Marc Webb, the director of (500) Days of Summer, which is easily one of the best romance movies of all time. This movie isn't about Jamie Foxx's teeth, it's about responsibility, being a grownup, and doing the right thing. Captain Stacy knew that Gwen would die if she and Peter were to stay together, and that's exactly what ends up happening. So, the third movie would've been about Peter becoming Spider-MAN. Him finally becoming a grownup and realizing that, with great power, does indeed come with great responsibility. BOOM TITLE CARD, BITCH
