I wrote a review so long I fell asleep 😭😭, relogging it in the morning
I wanted to stop having ears whenever that jazz thingy started playing (and that happened a lot). Not really related to the quality of the movie though. About the film: Really interesting, with a world that is well built and a main character that I loved watching! The city and Travis go trough some really dark stuff. The violence, the racism. I really love the way the journaling of the character is used to narrate parts of the story, linked with great editing! It makes you think

The Scorses-a-thon I’ve seen the unpopular and the underrated and unsung. Now I have seen one of the most popular movies of all time. A film, like the others so far, that I had never seen before. And I must say that I was impressed and surprised. I wasn’t expecting this movie to be so artsy fartsy. And artsy fartsy in a way I really liked. Pretty much everything about this worked for me: the design, the music, the plot, and performances are all extremely iconic and influential. We wouldn’t have a movie like Fight Club without this.
