Trochę się rozkręca, ale kiedy już zrozumie się sytuację i psychologię poszczególnych postaci, ten zamknięty na kilku dzielnicach świat naprawdę wciąga. A przepiękny chaos który fundują końcowe sekwencje w pączkarni, od razu przywodzi na myśl braci Safdie w ich najlepszej formie, tyle że tutaj jest to maksymalnie surowe, co dodaje autentyczności. Nie wiem jak to wytłumaczyć, ale czułem, że wigilia Bożego Narodzenia jest tu tylko tłem, a jednocześnie głównym motorem napędowym dla całego szajsu który ma miejsce; że film jest jednym z najmniej, a zarazem jednym z najbardziej świątecznych filmów ever. Bo każda taka wigilia jest jak mandarynka - nie masz pewności czy kolejny kęs będzie słodki czy cierpki, ani czy nie trafi się pestka.
