Not as great as their previous films (The endless and resolution) but still the concept is very fresh and executed so well. Where it doesn’t do well is it’s trying hard to show the struggles of two characters when it come to their family and some of the scenes are poorly written when it comes to this. Synchronic felt like they were trying to make it more accessible, as in more commercial (compared to their previous work). Thankfully the main concept is brilliantly written and it’s super intriguing to even imagine. Moorhead and Benson are really talented sci fi makers and they just need to focus on their own audience instead of trying to get more audience and changing the overall tone of their film to reach them. PS - Whoever reading this I highly recommend their smaller film like “The endless” especially which is my favourite. Then maybe resolution. Yet to watch “Spring” which was highly recommended online.
