The style of this movie is kinda like the anti Nolan.  Great dialogue, heavy themes, you get what feels like an eternity to sit with yourself and think.  No one is hopeful for a better future just agony all around.

El cine debe entretener. ¿Se te olvido eso Tarkovsky?

Verdict: 🥇 MUST SEE  It’s amazing a movie like this even exists, and its execution is so masterful. It isn’t full of special effects, monsters, enemies in the traditional sense, but it’s filled with wonder and dread.

This film opened me up about my future in a more positive way than I was 160 minutes back. It was like I entered “The Art of living” society and achieved salvation. Whether I (YOU) am an atheist or not, this film spiritually it has affected me a lot. This is a film that demands lot of attention and focus. Once you get that, it will take you on a mysterious yet cleansing journey where you feel hopeful about your life no matter how your “Present” situation is. There’s one dialogue regarding the Zone they enter - “The Zone is a very complicated system of traps, and they're all deadly. I don't know what's going on here in the absence of people, but the moment someone shows up, everything comes into motion.”  Same way the more attention you give to the genius detailing of Tarkovsky in the film, the more you get everything that is in motion, in the 3 lead character’s mind, the way zone reacts on these characters, and the important back story.

polarising. loss of faith. egotistical. self sufficiency. tarkovsky.

Seeing the movies themes of escape from hopelessness, and it's withholding of information. Seeing it's themes of freedom, poverty, and isolation. After watching it leaves me wanting more. I might want to rewatch with a more cleared mind. This was definitely a different watch compared to Solaris cause this movie continues to introduce a lot of elements without explanation, making you live with it

Haunting.
