I want Emo Peter Parker to fuck me like Sony fucked Sam Rami with this

Man, this movie just really boggles my mind. This could have been so great if it didn't throw in 5 different subplots, and lazily developed all of them. the actions of the characters just happen for no reason. 1 minute Harry is laying happy, and then right after he is a maniac with no buildup. Peter goes through his emo phase so quickly that even if it wasn't a complete joke, It still would not work because it's so sudden. Everything with Eddie is stupid and should not have been in the movie. Sandman has kind of an interesting arc, but we have seen it before, and again like 10 minutes of the entire movie is dedicated to him, so I wouldn't really mind if he was gone. Everything with MJ and Peter is a stupid rehash of the last movie, that contradicted all of the things that happen in the last movie. Man, emo Peter Parked is even more cringe than I remembered.

I think a lot of the criticism this movie gets doesn’t make much sense to me anymore. Too many villains? I think their introductions might feel a little repetitive but each of them have a clear reason to exist (they each confront a certain aspect of Peter's life) and are quite balanced throughout. The amnesia thing with Harry comes and goes away kind of fast and I don’t know how justified that feels. But then SANDMAN is such a cool villain. Completely connected to Peter's rage and desire for vengeance, complicating his relationship to his past and the very thing that makes Spider-Man the way he is. It just humanizes the world a lot more. And the way the sand effects work in his transformation scene is so impactful. Of course, this is very corny a lot of the time, but that once again just points to a film that feels extremely sincere in its presentation. It believes in itself. Speaking…
