I can't tell if Tobey Maguire is the best, or the worst Spider-Man. I don't really have too much to say about this, but I do have some things to say about the Ultimate Spider-Man series. The comics from the 2000s, not the TV series. The Ultimate Spider-Man series wasn't my first introduction to Spider-Man as a whole, but it certainly was the best. It feels very realistic (as much as a dude who can spit webs can) and very grounded with its approach. Great dialogue, beautiful artwork, amazing character arcs, and amazing villains! You can really see Peter take his time and how he deals with Spider-Man and all the crap revolving around that. He goes from a nerd who gets shoved into lockers, to breaking Flash's hand and Flash suing him over the incident. He meets the X-Men, his clone, and you can really see the dynamic between him and his parents death's, one not done well by the Amazing…
I really enjoyed it, but overall I'm a bit mixed on it. I love Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin, both his performance and his character were really Great, and the last fight with him and spiderman in the building was really good. The beginning with the wrestling match was also pretty strong, and while Tobey Maguire was a bit too much of a dwebb sometimes, he still did give a really solid performance. But MJ brings this movie down a lot because she is so incredibly boring(And not hot at all TBH) and everything with her is corny and filled with pretty weak dialouge. Also the action and Special effects are a worse than I expected, and don't really hold up now. Still a solid fun movie and I am very excited to watch more of the Spider man films(Also excited for more J Jonah baby)
This, like any story worth telling, is all about a girl. The movie knows that is about its characters first, super powers second. I really like the focus on the love story as a driving force for the entire movie. Peter gets bitten taking a picture of Mary Jane, goes wrestling so he can buy a car to impress her and saves her multiple times. When Peter really gets to know himself as Spider-Man, that’s when MJ starts really falling for him. Every character feels so alive, like their lives keep going after the movie cuts away from them.
Esse filme é MUITO melhor do que eu me lembrava Se deixasse a Mary Jane assim pelo resto da trilogia tava perfeito
Peaak!!!!!
