Slashdance rewards you for sticking around until the end ... let me temper that statement. The movie improves slightly as it progresses. Slashdance opens with random women arriving on stage for auditions, one after the other. Each time, the dancer yells out to a dark abyss about her routine. The dancer does a routine that's supposed to be funny, but it's not. Each dancer gets murdered by someone we don't see. Next, you meet a narcissistic police chief who plays the comic relief. Also not funny but he becomes tolerable after some of the GLOW ladies beat him up. Anyway the movie is not good yet and it's under 90 minutes.
