Where did it go? Sometimes I was watching from behind my fingers like a scared child. Is it easy to scare me considering I watched this alone with all the lights out? Probably. But I did that on purpose and I enjoyed it. It’s really inspiring how much this is able to do with so little. All the cartoons on the TVs are on the public domain. Speaking of cartoons, I have a hard time feeling scared of cartoons just because they are “displaced” in a serious/ scary situation. The noise still feels silly to me, most of the time. Of course, distortions of these sounds usually work and there was one laugh that really made me get chills. Usually, it’s scary by how much it leaves for you to interpret. The story, the image, the sound. It’s all blurry enough to make you imagine the worst (even the subtitles feel like tricks the film is playing on your mind).  At the end, it did feel a bit long (could be 20 minutes or so shorter) but very rewarding anyways. The ending is really good!
