Twisted Psychological drama at its unconventional best.  Storytelling is so damn unique that it grabbed me immediately. It’s deliciously confusing in the 1st 20 minutes but it doesn’t get tedious because of how the film is shot and overall aesthetics of it. Meticulously you get the character Shirley and what’s going on in her mind. This is the kind of storytelling that is very exploratory. If you aren’t grabbed into this kind of storytelling, you might lose the plot or can’t connect with the characters.  Elisabeth Moss (My favourite actress) is PHENOMENAL. No words for her. This is oscar worthy in all freaking sense. And Odessa Young. OH.MY.GOD. I think best supporting actress so far this year for me.    Michael Stuhlbarg is as usual brilliant too as a supporting character.  The way it’s shot reminded me bit of Terrence Malick’s films. The beautiful close ups with hand held camera it seems. Cinematography is stunning.  Some of the things were brutally real - Patriarchy, toxic relationship and cruelty for girls in this world. It touched upon these stuffs yet keeping intact the sole character’s study in the centre. An experimental storytelling that will surely make you think a lot about the possibilities of the film’s ambiguous ending. I will surely watch this again.
