Initial few minutes I was like what exactly this film is trying to focus on - Missing tigress that was creating problems in the village or politicians taking advantage of the situation, making this tiger issue to work in their favour somehow or was it about Vidya trying to settle in this already goofed up situation or was it JUST about common people (Villagers, honest officers, misled voters) trapped in this deceitful eco-system?  This is about everything that I have mentioned above but mostly the latter part of it. Everything revolves around this one thing in the world (including forest conservation or saving the tigers) - SYSTEM and sadly a bad system. Sherni shows it seamlessly that we as a human being are indirectly a culprit, allowing this system to be in place then acting as a victim when the system doesn’t go as it was promised to be. In between this missing tigress issue and the villagers lives, there’s only one common link which is the corrupt system that is in place. Nature, wild animals and human’s peaceful co-existence is ruined by corrupt system whether knowingly or unknowingly.  Usually in real life we don’t get to see the middle part of it, like even the media in the film are focusing only on the tiger and debating on it. Nobody cares to even talk about the system who are handling this to their electoral advantage. Sherni does it so well to showcase that unfortunate middle part of this avoidable chaos and beautifully Vidya has projected her emotions, almost like how we unaware people would react to such POLITICAL DECAY. Amit (Director) quietly puts that this was never about a Man vs Animal after all.  PS : End credit sequence is ♥️
