It’s been a pleasure following Chris Stuckmann’s YouTube channel for so long and now he has made his debut as a director with a horror film. Removing my slight bias towards him, I will have to be honest that this debut is clearly a mixed bag for me. There are strokes of good stuffs and also clearly B-Grade execution/writing. Mystery does get really interesting and Chris has tried to give it kinda “Alan Wake” vibes (Gamers will understand). But I really didn’t like the ending. It was so obvious that someone inexperienced was at the helm as the director, although I really appreciate his attempt. Knowing Chris through his channel, I am damn sure he will improve a lot in the future because I could really see great potential in this debut film that didn’t work for me as a whole unfortunately.  I wondered how it would have been if this was a 100% found footage horror. I enjoyed those found footage scenes more than the usual format.

Shout out to Night Mind Outside of some cliche character choices this is an incredibly well made horror film. It is bone chilling front to back filled with incredible details and touches. It captures a feeling of great 2000s-2010s horror while still feeling fresh. For me this has become an instant classic.

Ewidentnie widać, że Stuckmann nie potrafił przesiać swoich pomysłów i wrzucił tu wszystko co mu wpadło do głowy, nie spajając tego żadną logiką. Na domiar złego nieco paradoksalnie jedynym co się zrodziło (wink) z tego nadmiaru pomysłów, jest intrygujące pierwsze 15-20 minut. Później aż do końca zostaje tylko pusty snoozefest. Słabizna bez ładu i składu.
