a quiet, stripped-down film that pulls you in with just conversations and tension. it’s about messy relationships, secrets, and the strange ways people open up....or don’t. james spader is perfectly awkward and unsettling, and this is my favourite performance of his. the whole thing feels raw but honest. it’s not loud or dramatic, but it gets under your skin.
