Complete deviation from the source material, aside from some appreciated nods. Whomever had the great idea to hyperinject hip hop into every last ounce was a genius. Voices of the gang were ok but the two most important (Shaggy and Scooby) were trash. 1 star for its inclusion of the greater Hanna-Barbara universe. Jason Isaacs was great as Dick Dastardly and Mark Wahlberg was great even though his character was recycled. Shame Blue Falcon wasn’t someone to look up to and root for. Directing made the movie forgettable and the few actually good jokes never hit because the movie itself didn’t let them. Bad editing, characters vocally spelling out the themes, and shoddy animation.
