This Film is just... perfect. I have some friends that ask why this film is so perfect and flawless and sometimes, they or I don't understand the answer. Just how can you put your favorite film into words just of how much you like it? I think that it's almost impossible to do such, but I think came up with half an answer. My heritage. You see, me? I'm Jewish and the film felt so personal everytime someone gets shot or dies. Like, these were real people that I'm (somewhere down the line) related to! And they could just be killed for doing their job? I know a lot of people knew that the holocaust was a horrible event and even I knew that too, but not as personally before watching this film. A month or two before the film I had seen "Jojo Rabbit," which even through its funny, lightheartedness still was sad. And I thought, "Huh, that's pretty sad what happened to all of the Jews but I mean, it's still funny." Which, yeah, I did see the sadness, but it didn't affect me as much. After seeing the brutal killings and hatred of the Nazis in this film, I cried SO much. During the film I was sobbing like a baby and even after, just running up to my room crying and thinking, "How can someone have so much hatred?" This film is sad. It's just so sad. I know that's kind of obvious that it's sad but it truly is. This film will make you cry, will make you uncomfortable, and it will make you ponder life. And the people that label this movie as,"Perverse, boring, and has over excessive violence," are wrong. And, hey, I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and their view at any movie, but (and even after saying this I'm still gonna call out people who say it's bad) it's so personal. Like how can you view WWII as having too much violence and is perverse. That's not possible. like, it's history! That's not possible. I think that they even tone down the violence from WWII and even then, it's still bloody and horrific to see what happened to these people, and it was all 100% real. This film is so personal and true that it's not possible for me to label this film as just another film. These people where my ancestors and they suffered through so much just because a man with a silly moustache had a grudge. And that is why "Schindler's List" is my favorite film of all time.
