Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire2023

This is a movie where setup of any big scene is greater than everything else. Like the initial scene where Prabhas’s character loosens up to beat bad guys, the whole setup is superb but the final execution of action sequence is subpar without much vision in terms of action choreography. Most of the film is Just villains running towards hero and hero just without any kinda choreography, lifting his weapon to hit them. So madly basic. It’s also A rated and Prashant couldn’t take advantage of that also. Could have made a proper violent choreography than just making it “Hit and move on” like choreography which becomes highly repetitive.  Same way Khansaar world (Different tribes, intentions, cruelty of some tribes) is more intriguing than Prabhas and Prithviraj’s equation. Prabhas’s character for instance is like that emotional-less mutant killing machine in superhero films. His intentions are super basic. Only one better thing that happens to character is towards the end and kinda explains why he was behaving the way he was throughout the film but still not too satisfied with his character.  I would really want Prashant to vastly improve action set pieces in Part 2. He has everything else with him in abundance including technicalities, music and also cool world. So he doesn’t have any excuses for not giving us best action set pieces in part 2 🤞
