Meet Joel Goodson, an industrious, college-bound 17-year-old and a responsible, trustworthy son. However, when his parents go away and leave him home alone in the wealthy Chicago suburbs with the Porsche at his disposal he quickly decides he has been good for too long and it is time to enjoy himself. After an unfortunate incident with the Porsche Joel must raise some cash, in a risky way.

This movie has so much sauce. Only a year after Losin’ It and Tom Cruise has already shown so much improvement. His character starts off pretty similar to Woody from the aforementioned Losin’ It, but by being given the lead here he has so much more room to grow and show his chops, comedic and otherwise. This film is very In line with something like Ferris Bueller though this movie precedes that by four years. Where Losin It I would only recommend to real schlock enjoyers, I would definitely suggest this for any lover of classic 80s teen movies.
