I love how zombie movies, more than any other horror subgenre, have a very clear, mostly accepted family tree. Obviously we start with Night of the Living Dead no matter what we're talking about. From there, an Italian film called Zombi 2 split the subgenre into two timelines: Romero and/or Fulci. Both grew solid foundations and limbs. But early on, the Romero timeline split into 2: the Romero and Russo timelines. Russo cowrote Night of the Living Dead and retained rights to "Living Dead." That's why Romeros sequels were Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, etc. Eventually Russo gets a sequel with Living Dead in the title greenlit, thus creating an early timeline split between Russo's Living Dead and Romero's Dead. The first Living Dead sequel was, of course, Return of the Living Dead. Who could forget Lianna Quigley as Trash?

(Oceniam pierwsze pół filmu które widziałem) Drag culture to kompletnie nie moja bajka, ale gdybym w niej siedział, albo był jej członkiem, to prawdobodobnie byłoby pół gwiazdki mniej. Tina Romero swoją beznadziejną parodią gatunku parodiuje przy okazji całą grupę społeczną. Niech wyznacznikiem krindżowatości zachowań postaci będzie to, że kiedy nieronicznie używają słowa "slay", prawie nie zwracałem na to uwagi, a dodatkowo wszyscy tutaj piekielnie irytują swoją nadekspresywnością, która popada we wspomniane parodiowanie właśnie. Liczyłem przynajmniej na ciekawy design zombie i dobrą robotę mejkapowców, i o ile to drugie jeszcze od biedy mogę zaliczyć, bo ugryzienia wyglądają spoko; tak wygląd zombie jest nieśmiesznym żartem i wygląda jak strój na halloween zamówiony z Temu. I jeszcze to powoływanie się na dzieła ojca w swoim debiucie... Niestety, ale pani Tina nie odziedziczyła po nim nawet ułamka talentu, ani wiedzy o tym jak kręcić filmy.
