A story of love and life among the landed English gentry during the Georgian era. Mr. Bennet is a gentleman living in Hertfordshire with his overbearing wife and five daughters, but if he dies their house will be inherited by a distant cousin whom they have never met, so the family's future happiness and security is dependent on the daughters making good marriages.

沒有很get到 也許在講述時代背景和階級差距的美麗故事 但在我眼裡只覺得一切發生得很突然和莫名XD
I'M CRYING
My warmest felicitations on this fine evening, Sunday, the second of November. I hope that I find you in amiable spirits enough to regard my latest cinematic experience, the viewing of one Pride & Prejudice. This film is an incredibly charming relic of a near incomprehensible time. While certainly class issues do still plague modern society, it is nowhere near the degree as featured in this film or the time depicted therein. While incredibly romantic in aspects, I find myself, due in no small part to my own lack of knowledge, disinterested in many of the comings and goings featured here. The obsession with class and social hierarchy is completely foreign to me and tiresome. The rules and regulations laid upon these people seem detrimental in their unnecessarily stringent nature. Truly, the common practices seem an obvious burden to the Bennet family, who would obviously prefer to live in quiet peace and freedom.
holy patriarchy
A cinematic romance tinged with bittersweet grace.
