“Get to the chopper!”

The Predator films are a series I never wanted to watch (in particular because he’s so ugly) and really didn’t have any interest in, especially after being disappointed in so many of the alien films. But after seeing Badlands and enjoying that film so much, I decided to give the series a go. And let me just say I’m really impressed with this first movie.  Right now, I don’t know why this works over any of the original alien films. I guess it just comes down to the fact that this movie is just more fun. It is not as high-class in its production as the original alien film but makes up for it in an enjoyable post-Vietnam atmosphere.  Also, I can see that the new Predator movie somewhat flips the script of this film, where here Arnold learns to adapt to his enemy and his surroundings, whereas in the new film, it is the Predator that must grow and adapt. 

Pretty fun! Love the editing! I'll probably watch a few more!
