“Want some candy?”

Still a really enjoyable time but very very different from the first film. Theres a lot more world building to this film for better or worse. It’s definitely trying to equate the predators hunting to the rampant gang violence and I don’t know how I feel about that. On one hand this is a made up future and not really based on reality but on a future someone believed was possible as it only takes place 7 years after when it was made.  The execution of all its ideas could have been better. If it went straight mystery or action or social commentary or whatever it wanted to do. But it stays pretty fun and I enjoyed the ending and getting a little more subtle lore on the predator culture. Also the first reference to the alien franchise.
