I really won’t process this movie for as long as I live I felt repulsed and uncomfortable all the way through  In the end this is Oedipus but more brutal this needs a rewatch with the gang

*Oldboy (2003) di Park Chan-wook è un thriller psicologico coreano incentrato su Oh Dae-su, rapito e imprigionato per 15 anni senza un perché. Liberato, scopre che la sua prigionia è una vendetta spietata ordinata da Lee Woo-jin, il quale lo punisce per aver diffuso pettegolezzi incestuosi sulla sorella di Woo-jin, poi suicidatasi. * Un film semplicemente fantastico, mi ha ricordato per un certo senso *Kill Bill, *infatti viene definito il “Kill Bill coreano”. Ha un po’ i sensi di Ichi the killer ma forse meno spietato, comunque il lavoro è pazzesco e la storia è semplicemente assurda, partendo da un’idea di base forse anche strana a mio parere, la storia ha uno sviluppo e delle rivelazioni fantastiche per quello che era il tempo. Combattimenti fantastici e musica ancora di più, uno di quei Thriller Psicologici che non si dimenticano facilmente, la scena finale è pura arte.

Oldboy • (2003) Let’s talk about my first impressions after watching this masterpiece for the first time. This film is beyond imagination—a stunning piece of writing. Every scene is packed with suspense and thrills, and the execution is flawless. The entire cast delivered exceptional performances. The last 20 minutes are among the greatest climaxes in the history of cinema. The way the plot unfolds is unpredictable, hitting you harder than you’d expect. Even after rewatching it, the film gave me the same vibe as it did the first time I watched it.
