Visually appealing but lacks bite.[pun intended]. I wasn’t sure how I would feel watching this as the original is such a pivotal part of early cinema. I didn’t go into it with any real desire to see it and maybe that’s the problem.  The cast was excellent, cinematography great but it just didn’t satisfy my thirst. Depp, Hoult stood out as the couple facing the ex from hell.  Dafoe really didn’t get enough screen time, but played the role brilliantly.  Taylor Johnson was a surprise and played with unexpected amounts of emotion.  I hate to say it but Skarsgard was as elusive as a vampire avoiding a day on the beach and to be honest the role could have been played by anyone.  Any chance of his return to the level of menace from IT is sorely missed. theres so many things that's so unique in this movie like I cannot just wrap my head around it.. first the acting was PHENOMENAL like I was mostly impressed by lily rose's acting it was something else i have not seen in very long time or im not even sure if I have ever seen it, this was perfect now I almost fell asleep 7 times but I still could not stop watching it was addicting. now buildup was slow and sometimes tiring but it was really good, aand I just found out right now bill skarsgard was acting as orlock.. how the hell did he manifest such accent its crazy to me like that is insane range right there, it was really funny because for some reasons I was impressed by A list actors appearing out of nowhere just for it to keep happening, this movie is literally fulfilling like if someone ever asks me about this movie im taking atleast 10 minutes to admire how amazing lily rose depp was in this

Robert Eggers has done it again!!!! Instant reaction after watching this and what a masterfully crafted world this from start to finish with breathtaking visuals and some incredible characters/performances. Loved every aspect of this haunting world building till the very end with that final shot and the dialogue of William Dafoe’s character. Stunning. Plague epidemic and Count kinda goes hand in hand. Almost like an allegory to plague - This alone makes it a masterpiece for me.

Nosferatu • (2024) It keeps you hooked throughout the runtime, maintaining its suspense element until the end. The production design is extremely beautiful, and the sound design is equally impressive. Lana Rose Deep, Nicolus Halut, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Willem Dafoe deliver excellent performances. Altogether, this creates a perfectly themed horror experience.

Eggers po mistrzowsku uwspółcześnił tę starą jak sama literatura historię, kompletnie zmieniając jej wydzwięk, a jednocześnie zachowując jej filary. No i uwielbiam mnogość interpretacji na jakie pozwala niemalże każda pojedyncza sekwencja, bo w każdym kącie czai się tu jakieś niedopowiedzenie. Lily-Rose Depp wybitna.
