Chloe yet again after “The rider”, hits the right melancholic buttons that moved me with gorgeous cinematography, utterly beautiful score throughout the film and the genius Frances McDormand at her finest. Easily one of the best films I have watched of 2020.  How beautifully Chloe has explored this “Nomad” space. Basically it’s a film about an inheritance of love and how each characters through their remembrance of someone special or something special in their life gains that hopeful future for themselves even if they have lost everything. There’s even one scene where they are looking at planets through telescope and it’s said that some elements of Jupiter travels to earth and it becomes a part of earth. In this also it’s about inheritance of something that has lost its way but still has left a huge mark in some way or the other by being a part of us - meaning earth. Same way all the characters Fern meets shares their story of something they lost yet they accumulated that memory, whether through their things or just a memory and moving forward with a positive outlook. It’s also amazing how Chloe connects this all to the nature. There too it’s about inheritance of beauty that transforms on its own but never looses that charm. This is a masterful character driven story of hope.
