Two sisters move to the country with their father in order to be closer to their hospitalized mother, and discover the surrounding trees are inhabited by Totoros, magical spirits of the forest. When the youngest runs away from home, the older sister seeks help from the spirits to find her.

Watch for Hey Kids, Watch This! I like how iconic Totoro is and it’s a charming movie, but there’s really not much there imo. The youngest interacts with Totoro a total of 4 times. And the oldest 3 times. Not really much of a story. But still good nonetheless.
