中規中矩，四平八穩 感覺對知道結局的人而言可能會有點無聊

As someone who holds David Suchet’s Poirot in the highest regard I thus believe his version of this story (and every other poirot story) as the definitive version of said story. But I will say it has been quite a few years since I’ve seen it so I’m sure it could stand for a reevaluation.  To talk on this film it looks incredible. And… I feel like there’s not much else here. The choice of having the train stop over a bridge seems inspired but the movie doesn’t do anything with it. I also enjoy Depps casting as Ratchett but many of the other roles feel somewhat flat.  It is hard to gauge how well this succeeds as an adaptation seeing how long it’s been since I’ve seen another or read the book. But on this viewing there seems to me a shallowness. A drab painting in a pretty frame.
