Direction and investigation part are much deeper/detailed compared to Hindi one, which I liked.  But oh boy, the climax didn’t make much sense when it comes to Prithviraj’s character’s motive to kill his best friend just because his sexuality was about to be revealed publicly - Too hard to digest in 2025 (For sure would have worked for me in 2013 and no wonder it worked for many that time). Juvenile, considering Prithviraj’s character is an experienced police officer and also clearly mature, even if short- tempered. I am glad this part is removed from Hindi and made it more digestible yet surprise factor is intact. Whatever issues Hindi version had was not there in original Malayalam film but whatever illogical stuff (For 2025) Malayalam film had in the 3rd act is removed from Hindi. So if I compare, both get the same marks. If Mumbai police also had similar tweaked climax, easily it would have been a 4 stars from my side because it was such a well written film until that climax.  But when it comes to Shahid and Prithviraj’s performance, it’s 4/5. Loved both of them equally.
