Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One2023

“I swear your life will always matter more to me than my own.” “You don't even know me.” “What difference does that make?” I love everything about this movie.  This has some of the best set pieces in any of the Mission: Impossible movies. It feels like Uncharted in the best way. The best car chase I’ve ever seen. Amazing antagonists and an incredibly entertaining plot.  My only grievance is that Ilsa is added to the movie just to be written out and killed off. It is really a shame. I wish she never would have come back after Rogue Nation or at least was written better. But here we are.  Hayley Atwell is pretty stellar even if she spends most of the movie running away from Ethan Hunt, who literally just wants to help her. She’s funny and has some pretty good action moments. Can’t wait to see where she goes.  And of course, Ethan. Always fantastic. Always incredible. Always doing the most, as he should.  Tom Cruise has put his heart and soul into this franchise and you feel it every time. I am so excited to see the final reckoning tomorrow. I literally can’t wait for what’s going to happen next.
