Manhunter is one of those movies which improves upon time and rewatches so much that becomes the best Hannibal Lecter movie ever made, even without every iconic aspect from The Silence Of The Lambs (Hopkins/Foster, the whole escape sequence) that is nowhere to be found here. Yet, William Petersen offers a wide range of flawless moments in here. A dark, stylish, personal exploration of fear, evil and lust.
