I have never been able to really relate myself or see myself in anyone else ever. Even for things that my friends and I go, "Oh yeah! That's totally me!" (Abed from Community, Jack Horner from Boogie Nights, Wallace from Scott Pilgrim, Pierce from Community) It's never really something that I can 100% feel like I am. This man though. Andy Kaufman. He... wow. Just wow. He never thought a bit could ever be taken too far, he played characters that are racist, homophobic, and very sexist, and he knew what he found funny and he didn't give a shit about what anyone thought about him. And my drama friends can tell you how far I take my characters. (Beaumont) All he wanted was a genuine, pure reaction. And the fact that Jim Carrey acted like Andy on and off set means that he knew exactly who Andy was and really got him and understood his character. This is just so great and amazing and I've been wanting to see for awhile and was shocked when my dad hit play and this was the movie. Please watch this if you can, it is truly amazing.
