Verdict: 🥈 SHOULD SEE Entertaining and funny, but missing an important theme to tie it all together. Feels like they took what should have been a short and made it a full length feature without giving it a greater purpose. Still, it has a signature Ghibli feel to it, oozing with authentic Italian scenery and a simple plot line (in a very good way). It’s gorgeous to look at and innocent in nature. I love how Pixar’s villain formula is so distinct and never implies straight evil. More studios should learn from this.

This would be sick if it would be like a Call me by your Name movie, but the trailer makes me think otherwise. Not that it has bad ideas or concepts, I just think that it'd be pretty cool for Pixar to do another love story because Wall-E was amazing and I would love to see how Pixar portrays human (or whatever sea creature) love. Am I right ladies?

Feels like a breezy summer day. Having low stakes doesn’t make it less exciting. Some people are saying it has a bit of a Ghibli vibe, I think it could’ve had more of that. This feeling of quietness, reflection But it’s still greatly paced.
