Damien, a Chinese civilization professor, lives with his wife, Iva, a stage director, and their son Noé. The couple's relationship has drifted into routine that has drained it of love. Damien finds himself trapped one day by Iva, who orders him to ask his father, a senior member of the French Council of State, for help in preventing Zorica, a woman Iva knows, from being deported. But Damien and his father don't get on and are barely ever in touch with each other. This dangerous mission throws Damien into a spiral that will turn his life upside down.

Les protagonistes sont unidimensionnels, tandis que les péripéties s'enchaînent sans vraiment parvenir à intéresser le public. Et comment ne pas souligner la mollesse de cette œuvre ?... Prétendre qu'il y a le moindre intérêt à regarder ce film reviendrait tout simplement à mentir. Le vide : c'est le mot idéal pour décrire cette pseudo comédie sans saveur. Visionnage difficile. In spite of the presence of an impeccable cast, this film unfortunately falls well short of expectations. The characters are overly simplistic, and the plot unfolds in a series of uninteresting events which fail to engage the audience. It would be remiss not to mention the sheer insipidity of this film... Pretending that there is even the slightest merit in watching this movie simply amounts to lying. Nothingness: that’s the most fitting word to sum up this tasteless pseudo-comedy. A painful viewing experience.
