星際寶貝很可愛 雖然故事格局不大，還是挺溫馨的

Simple and fun. More kid friendly than adult friendly writing. Emotionally it worked for me.

This movie is an abomination and a slap in the face to the original and everything it stood for. Where the original is a culturally sensitive look at the importance of found family, this film has the family split at the end for no reason, but jk lol the movie can’t even stand by that decision.  Everything that’s the same is an eye-rolling bastardization of the original, and everything new is confusingly unproductive and detrimental to its own narrative.   The only way I can see someone enjoying this is either if they hadn’t seen the 2002 film or if they completely misunderstood it and even then their own taste has to be extremely questionable.
