Scary, gross, and overall just sad. I was really grateful when things got more ridiculous near the end so I could forget that this was somebody’s daughter who had been locked up and possessed for eight years. Just a really messed-up flick and incredibly tragic. OK, I’m done. I don’t want to think about this anymore.
The elevator pitch is "what if The Exorcist and The Evil Dead had a baby in Egypt?" And honestly, where is the line between derivative and an homage? I squirmed, shrieked, and covered my eyes; all the necessary reactions to a spooky movie.
