easily my top pick from the trilogy. gary oldman as lord shen? absolutely iconic. his voice acting gave the character so much depth and intensity. the animation was next-level gorgeous, every frame looked stunning. lord shen completely owned the film. his pain, his ambition, it all felt so raw. the writing is just top-tier, every character had purpose and personality. also, “i always thought i'd find a nice girl, settle down, and then she'd eat my head” had me cracking up, what a line. and the dynamic between soothsayer and shen? unintentionally hilarious. this movie just hits all the right notes.
