This movie could've been so much cooler. Still had fun with it though

antes de assistir (e eu nem sabia que ia assistir) vi o vídeo do omelete sobre o filme e ficou impossível não notar o mal uso do "volume" - uma tela que fica atrás dos atores para simular o fundo - em algumas das cenas. Uma delas, de um personagem que faz xixi enquanto dinossauros aparecem atrás, é especialmente achatada. Nem tudo precisa ser efeito prático, mas isso aqui se distancia muito do quão tátil são os dinossauros no primeiro filme lá de 1993. Um dos planos mais inventivos é de uma cena que já está rodando online, com o bote inflável, e o público geral já aparece reclamando da falta de "realismo". Também não aguento mais que os filmes mais caros do mundo todo ainda usam de uma escuridão muito mal filmada em cenas noturnas... Se os estúdios ouvirem as vozes mais altas desse público, e provavelmente vão, esses filmes se tornarão cada vez menos inventivos e cada vez mais seguros. É o que grande parte desse filme faz - passeia por caminhos conhecidos e inofensivos e sai perdendo por isso.

I would have never rewatched this if not for my 8 years old nephew who was watching it for the first time. Major scenes this time worked better than the first viewing but still as a whole very soulless and lacks finesse.

Reading how heavily Spielberg and Koepp were involved and how much research they did and how much they wanted to bring the series back to its roots. Also getting Gareth Edwards to direct, who also seemingly loved the script, this movie should have been a slam dunk. In the end, the film is so bad, Edwards should have had it credited to Alan Smithee.  Seriously, this movie’s dialogue is so bad, and its plot is so generic that the only thing you could call this movie is a waste of time. And there is almost none of the Gareth sauce in this film. Though apparently, he was hired based on his work on Godzilla, which is definitely the least in his filmography for me. But you also have to understand that so much of his signature look is the cinematographer he works with. And if you have a more generic cinematographer, you’re going to have a more generic film. Almost no wide establishing shots to give context to the world around. Nothing to really give scale to the D Rex or any of the other animals aside from the titanosaurus.  Edwards wanted the movie to be a metaphor for the film industry, but aside from the opening, almost nothing lends to the metaphor. He also wants us to sympathize with the Distortus Rex, but if that’s true, then we need at least one moment that puts us in a perspective other than it being a carnivorous monster. Like, yes, it’s grotesque, but it’s no more horrific than the existence of any other dinosaur. 

Solid third act

Jako że do tej pory nie widziałem żadnego z Jurassic World'ów, podchodziłem z otwartą głową do tej szeroko krytykowanej franczyzy, lecz no niestety, nie zachęcił mnie ten film do obejrzenia poprzednich. I moim głównym zarzutem do Odrodzenia nie jest nawet sceariusz written by ChatGPT, bo lubię sobie od czasu do czasu zafundować głupiutką rozrywkę. Problem w tym, że ten film owszem, jest głupiutki, ale rozrywki w nim jak na lekarstwo (wink, wink). Spowodowane jest to głównie tym, że reżyser zbyt dosłownie potraktował ludzi jako mięsko tej produkcji, wrzucając do niej milion postaci i tysiąc żmundych, niepotrzebnych wątków, zabierając czas dinożarłom. Jestem autentycznie zszokowany, jak ich malutko w czymś co trwa ponad 2 godziny i ma słowo jurassic w tytule. Na plus to, że kiedy już się pojawiają, to jest to CGI najwyższej próby. W ogóle dobrze to wygląda. Dlatego rzekłbym, że wielki budżet ratuje Rebirth od bycia totalną padliną. No i jeszcze fajna obsada, która mimo że odgrywa do bólu kartonowe postacie, jakoś je sprzedaje.
