Oh my God. This is a 17-minute feature-length film. The main character is fascinating, and the contrast between the narration and the footage depicted gives him and the film as a whole such depth. This is it. This is the whole Scorsese thing fully formed and perfected at the very beginning. Better than so many full movies I’ve seen. Absolutely a masterpiece and ABSOLUTE CINEMA
