Speechless!!!!  INCREDIBLE MASTERPIECE BY JAFAR PANAHI. I have no words to put it properly after last 15-20 minutes of pure brilliance as if the rest of the film wasn’t already brilliant. WOW!!!!  There’s something about Jafar or other Iranian greats - Their films aren’t just films but an encyclopaedia on how to write hard hitting drama films. They manage to blow my mind almost always. Last shot is one of the best examples of how to manufacture a feeling for viewers that they would never have felt if it was shot generically. SPECTACULAR.

Są tu takie fragmenty, kiedy film wjeżdża na pełne obroty i chłonę wszystko jak gąbka wodę. Ale są też dłuższe zastoje, kiedy resztki kofeiny w moim organiźmie walczą zaciekle, żebym dobrnął resztkami sił do końca seansu. No i bezcelowość zemsty widziałem już w formie arcydzieła w innym medium - grze The Last of Us, więc główna pointa tego filmu nie rusza mnie aż tak bardzo jak by mogła. Za to Panahi rozumie się z kamerą jak ze starym przyjacielem i serwuje jeden z najlepszych reżyserskich pokazów 2025 roku, niezwykle zgrabnie łącząc niemal dokumentalną surowość z częstymi cięciami i zmianami położenia kamery.
