In late-90s suburbia, a lonely teenager meets a girl at school who introduces him to a mysterious late-night T.V. show — a vision of a supernatural world pulsing beneath their own. As time goes on, however, questions begin to arise about why the show sometimes seems more real than their own lives. In the pale glow of the television, their view of reality begins to crack.

Original, thought provoking and twisted in every sense. I just couldn’t feel anything but sad for characters here and being a film of this fantastical genre, it still was horrific to imagine if we are also going through that, finding our true self in a realm that seems confusing to some of us. Maybe yes or maybe not but just imagine haha. This is what such movies makes you wonder and I love that vibes and feeling. It’s not at all perfect but I dig such movies.
Lo-fi glowy depression for someone that may be too late, too “masculine” and too big for transitioning. Seeing your possible fate on screen knowing you could try to change it, but being afraid of doing it because you may not look or (thinking you may not) be who you want to be while already not being who you want to be is rough. May have to bury myself alive to change my fate, maybe there’s still time. Banger soundtrack tho.
