A feature-length, black and white, live action version of a Looney Tunes cartoon, specifically familiar to those who know the Coyote vs Roadrunner shorts. A low budget movie that knows exactly why it's so charming. The effects, the costumes, every sound is brilliantly executed for a single vision of cartoonish goofiness with some silent era film physical comedy. I was having such a fun time and laughed out loud a bunch. It’s not as short as you would expect from what you believe could be done with this premise (A man has to hunt different animals - people with animal costumes - to use them for his own survival) but it’s always inventive and never got any boring. When it’s repetitive, it's just an escalation of a joke that builds on itself. If you’re a fan of films that would be called “quirky” add this one to your watchlist. It’s always so cool watching a low budget movie like this get so much attention.

the world needs more movies like this. the stupidest movie i have ever seen while being one of the most clever ones when it comes to technique; "Hundreds of Beavers" is a live-action looney tunes episode built like an indie video-game. Absolute Cinema...
