看過2010年的動畫版 不減觀看真人版的享受程度～

sabe quando uma série de tv tem muitas cenas com efeitos visuais mas tá tudo muito escuro e difícil de enxergar pra poder esconder os detalhes da imagem? é o que acontece aqui por 2/3 do filme.   Achei um pouco confuso visualmente de outra forma também: o banguela permanece um dragão fofinho com olhos grandes e expressivos enquanto os outros dragões se transformam em suas versões “game of thrones”, quase nunca cartunescos…meio dissonante. Curti a atuação dos jovens principais, mesmo que no início pareça que o Soluço não tem mal jeito nenhum para ser um viking forte, do jeito que o pai dele quer…então quando ele se recusa a matar o dragão parece uma virada(?) pro personagem.  No geral não achei tão odiável quanto, por exemplo, O Rei Leão (2019) mas não me apareceu justificar tanto sua própria existência. Com tantas cenas copiando exatamente o original eu preferiria estar assistindo a animação que tem muito mais charme. Temas continuam relevantes com a ideia de um protagonista que defende um grupo que é retirado de sua própria terra e atacado em sua base e perseguido por retaliar,

Some of the live action remakes weren’t as beautiful or well made like this. Loved it immensely.

It used to be that movies like this were a dime a dozen. Films like The Neverending Story, Legend, The Princess Bride, etc., and we took them for granted. Now it seems like the only way to get stories like that is in the form of live-action adaptations. Which is dreadfully unfortunate. Especially considering how well done this one is and how well poorly made ones (like Lilo and Stitch) seem to do.  As I don’t have a lot of nostalgia for this franchise (I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of the films besides the first, and I’ve only seen that one a handful of times), so the story is still somewhat fresh for me, and thus this movie probably worked better for me than it would for a lot of other people.  I was originally going to give this movie a 3 1/2 at most simply due to the nature of its existence. But I was genuinely surprised by how well made this movie was. Some amazing shots, a soaring score, and a strong lead all made this a really enjoyable watch. Some humor didn’t work for me, but a lot did.

god, my inner child is SOBBING. this is so so so so good??? like i don’t care, this is exactly what my childhood dreams looked like. the visuals? absolutely breathtaking. the sound design?? orgasmic. the actors??? literal perfection. i walked in with zero expectations and walked out with my soul healed. HOLY SHIT MY MIND WAS BLOWN. 10/10 no notes, just tears and dragons.
